Tony was born and raised in Garden City, NY.  He is a graduate of the Univ. of Vermont and the New York State Veterinary College at Cornell Univ.  He was in Veterinary Practice in Garden City Park for 36 years.  He and his wife Brenda bought their house in Spruce Creek in 1994 and became full time residents in August 1996.  He  obtained his private pilot’s certificate in Feb. 1960.  He began flying helicopters in 1988, and by 1993 had Instructor ratings in both airplane and helicopter.  He also has Instrument Instructor ratings in both.   He continues as an active instructor in both fixed and rotary wing aircraft.

Tony served as chairman of the AAC in the 90s for two terms.

Stu Moved to Spruce Creek full time 7/2/2002.
He was employed for 32 years ATC at New York Center.
He also spent 5 years teaching ATC at the FAA Academy, Oklahoma City.
He served 4 Years in the US Air Force in air operations.
He is married to Jean Morse.












Stu Morse – Co-Chairman

John retired from ATC in 2005 after 25 years of employment.  He was at the Boston Air Route Traffic Control Center in Nashua, NH. John is an ATP Multi-engine land Pilot, with Commercial for SELS.  He is also a Flight instructor for Airplane Single and Multi Engine: Instrument.  He was a Civil Air Patrol Mission Pilot, G1000 Instructor and Check Pilot.  He also instructed in the American Bonanza Society Pilot Proficiency program.  He is currently working as a Ground Instructor at Aerosim Flight Academy in Sanford, FL  













John Foster – Secretary

John was born and raised in Richmond, VA. He holds a BA degree from Virginia Commonwealth University.  After serving in the US Air Force, and the Virginia State Police he started and sold a Nutritional Food business in South Florida.  In 1986 he embarked on a career as a Merchant Marine Officer after attending Professional Maritime Academy. He has worked as a ship and yacht captain as well as a ship helicopter pilot.  During time off he  flew competition Aerobatics, Air Shows, and taught aerobatics in the US.  In 2001 started flying for NetJets until his retirement in 2010.   John is an ATP with 17,000 hours and is a Commercial/Instrument Helicopter Pilot with 5000 hours in rotorcraft. He is part owner and on the BOD of 4 Mobility Supercenters. He flies an RV-7A

Jack Ditmars flies a Piper Aerostar 602P. He currently has 5500 hours flying. His ratings are Private Pilot, Instrument, Airplane, Multi Engine & Single Engine. 

Jack holds many speed records racing hot rods. He is a 2012 NHRA (Nat’l Hot Rod Assn.) Hall of Fame inductee.

Ken moved to Spruce Creek in 2002 and became a full time resident in 2006. He opened  The Downwind Restaurant on Cessna Blvd in 2007.  He has a background in business and property management.  In 2015 he purchased the 100 Cessna Blvd. building.  He believes the commercial center with its new improvements, is a valuable part of the Spruce Creek Community.  He expects to continue to help the commercial area and  the airport to improve for all to enjoy.

Instr. 1998-1999.  Airport Mgr. Spruce Creek Fly-In (7FL6) 2005- 2011.
